This show is absolutely terrible because it takes so called MYTHS and distorts them
to ridiculous extremes and then when they fail, claims to have 'busted' the myth. Case in point, the episode where they loaded a car with dead animal parts in order to 'bust' the myth that a car in which someone had died and remained in the sun could NOT b e cleaned. Taking it to extremes, using an animal carcass, sealing the car with tape and sealant and then waiting three days and finding they could not c Lean it, they claimed the myth 'busted'.
TRUTH : I worked as an automobile re conditioner for a few years. I DID receive a car from Georgia, a Ford Taurus, in which an elderly man had died and not been found for three days, in the hot Georgia sun. When the car arrived at the dealership which I worked, we needed Haz mat suits to approach it. We COMPLETELY stripped the interior carpets, removed the seats And jet blasted the sheet metal with cleaning agents. When we put the car back together, it looked and smelled like it had come off the factory floor.
MYTH BUSTERS is entertainment. pure and simple. But the ongoing claims that they 'bust' myths by disproving them, well if you believe this show is real, you most likely believe the legitimacy of Pro Wrestling and would like to buy the Brooklyn Bridge.

Obviously Mythbusters is entertainment.
I doubt they take themselves all that serious (just look at the fun they have in blowing things up. Is that serious science?) and I don't think they expect their audience to take their conclusion for 100% truth.
As long as you got a chuckle of watching those explosions Zahri linked to..
As for Pro Wrestling....thin ice buddy.  What is non-legit about it?
The broken bones and necks? The athleticism of those involved?
The amazing performances (legit feats of strength and choreographed skills)?
The money involved? The millions (and millions) of fans?

Mythbusters is very entertaining whether or not it is 100% accurate, 100% of the time.
To be honest, I don't care as long as it is fun to watch which it is. |

Myth busters WANTS to be Top gear.
That is a BBC show produced with EVERY bit the sheer entertainment value and 'fun' to be had with Mythbusters, yet it NEVER forgets that it is a factual based show, dealing with REAL issues and doing a fine job of reporting on its subject matter.
It is really so very much to ask of an American Produced Piece of Crap show that it respect reality ?
Oh wait American. Silly me. Of course its too much to ask
HEAVEN FORBID ANYTHING coming out of An American Television studio inspire someone to actually think !
Preposterous! it goes against the very Nature of their target Audience.
Which I am, quite clearly not.
Forgive me for assuming My Fellow Avatarians of being MORE intelligent than the lowest common denominator of the American television viewing audience.
