AVATAR novel help NEEDED!

I need some help on the AVATAR novel. If you are interested, either
contact me through personall note board, or email me a armyman@netins.net
I will send you ifonrmation. Basically, I need people that can come up
with ideas for the story, such as further polt intervention and area
expanding. (I am only level 30, so I don't know all of the GOOD places) I
would like to know asap from people who are interested. I would like to
finish it by June 16. (I ship for Basic Training the next day.)

The novel currently is is located at
http://www.netins.net/showcase/mpeabody/novel.txt

Comments are extremely welcome, as so I know to improve it. The novel is
in Alpha stage, so it still can be changed.

Thanks! Kabuki, the underwear thief! and Ikubak, Kabuki's little shadow!

----------

If you enjoy reading epic fantasy (you know... swords, sorcerers, sprites,
and so on), you definitely need to find a copy of David Drake's Lord of
the Isles. It has EVERYTHING! In a short 625 pages, Drake (a master
story teller: Hammer's Slammers, The V oyage, Cross the Stars, The Jungle,
Killer, etc., etc., etc.,) weaves believable characters, situations,
conversations, and descriptions into a complex triple plot that moves
swiftly to a satisfying, albeit predictable climax.

Personnae Dramatis:
Garric: Thinks he's an Innkeeper's son. Wrong! He's directly
descended from the greatest Lord of the Isles.
Cashel: A man of giant morals, size, strength, and mysterious power
(and like Garric, he know nothing about his hidden prowess).
Sharina: Also thinks she is the get of a rural Innkeeper and sister
to Garric. Wrong x2! But I won't spoil this surprise for you.
Ilna: sister to Cashel. Master weaver. Daughter of a water sprite.
Doesn't have a clue. Almost as powerful as her oblivious brother.
Tenoctris: Small time sorcerer who never realizes how truly Big Time
she really is. Survives the destruction of her master's kingdom, Travels
through time. Wise. Benign.....well, not REALLY benign.
King Carus: That almighty King of the Isles (except he's dead) (also
except he kinda lives through his heroic descendant Garric)(oh yeah, he is
WICKED good with swords, axel tres, etc., AND he has a sense of humor)
     The Hooded One: Bad Guy
     Malkar: The ultimate Bad Guy
Army's of liches: Ugly Bad Guys
Mellie: Three inch tall, naked, acrobatic, sprite who is
devoted to Cashel

There are also sorcerers so strong that they return from the dead, exotic
traders and cultures, back-breaking heroic feats, constant danger, giants,
sea monsters, treachery, lying, honesty, purity, faith, and a ton of
slaying (mostly bad guys, but some really excellent folks buy the farm
too).

Plot line? Actually, plot lines... Let me explain... no, let me sum up....
No, I can't even do that in this small article. If you'll read this book
I guarantee that you'll wish that you were living it. Its one of the few
books that caused me to mourn when it was over....I never wanted it to
end.

     3. You've Just Practiced Your Stances, Now What? By Septe
     ________________________________

You've been tanking either for a long time or just started or you've
never tanked because you're nervous because you can't get the high AC
like some of the bigger tanks can get. Whatever your situation may
be, now you have practiced your stances. You now have three stances
available to you: Offensive, Neutral, and Defensive. I will explain
what each does and what it means to your group.

Offensive means you throw everything you've got into the battle. You
gain an addition 5 hr and 15 dr at a cost of -125 ac. What does this
mean? I means you hit harder. This is good because the faster you
kill the mob, the less damage the tank suffers. Downside? You get
hit harder when the tank focus shifts to you.

Neutral means that nothing has changed. It's the same as if there
were no stances to choose from.

Defensive means you take extra care and make sure you don't get hit.
You gain -51 ac if you're hero and -125 ac if you're lord. However,
you don't hit at all and cannot kill a mob unless you change your
stance to neutral. What does this mean? It means that the tank can
only initiate battles by: changing stance from defensive and kill
then change the stance back to defensive, bash, trip, throw, smash,
backstab, or cast a spell. The downside of the defensive stance is
that tripping and throwing will shift the tank focus from the tank to
the second person in the group. If you have a group that loves
throwing, either tell them not to or change your stance so your blows
get in or to be prepared to rescue quite often.

Now I'm only a hero, and I only can tell you how it impacts hero and
since this is going out to everyone, I wouldn't print anything about
the impact that stances have on lord, even if I had a lord.

     5. Lord Chronicles by Chuft
     ________________________________

During a routine raid on the plane commonly designated as "outland" under
my leadership, a githyanki patrol was captured and interrogated. In this
interrogation, we learnt of recent atrocities committed by the githyanki
leader and his minions in his stro nghold. A raid upon this stronghold has
not been attempted within the last several months, due to the ...
unpleasant habits of the leaders little pets, should a lord fall in
battle.

Nonetheless, I, Chuft, fearless Kzinti warrior, decided that it was time
the githyanki were shown the error of their ways in the firmest fashion
possible. Upon our return to thorngate, I began to gather a group for the
strike on the githyanki underground stronghold. To me I called my oldest
acquaintances, and some I have only known since achieving lord status.
With me came the mighty warriors Freakazoid, Narcisse, Phrog, and Stelth;
also the cunning and devious Kzinti rogue, Maggi. To us we gathered the
wise and cunning mages, Donot, Ridian, Macros, and Psyker, master of the
mind. Also, I enlisted the help of the clerics Shaido, Raederle, Wandek,
and to complete our group, the martial artist, Duckie.

We were a small group for the raid we had in mind, but a determined one.
We prepared our equipment and made our incantations as usual at the centre
of the lord stronghold, then planeshifted to outland and dealt with the
usual smattering of magi at the en try point. Under my guidance, we
rapidly entered the stronghold and fell upon the githyanki captains,
destroying them easily, since we had the advantage of surprise. We then
entrenched ourselves in the doorway of the leaders throne room and held it
while we got some rest and prepared for the main battle. The githyanki
commander sent wave after wave of his minions to attack us, but we beat
them off with ease.

Finally, we were ready to do battle with the leader himself. The leader
fell fast upon our entry, despite his might, such was the hatred of our
casters for his atrocities. However our warriors were rapidly losing hp.
Due to our skill and speed, we cleared the throne room of the githyanki
minions, too, and emerged victorious with the much treasured items.

Know this, Githyanki ; Mighty are the fearless. This concludes my report.
Chuft-rrit, Patriarchies representative.
